I'm pretty sure this is the end of season 2 and what a finale it is. At the beginning a lot of people have thought that Donnie was actually someone else, a semi-famous comedian who everyone thinks is a douche and the ending of this video plays into that perfectly. I didn't see this coming, although if you're a follower of the show you know that it's not voiced by that "comedian" (aka Dane Cook) but watch the video all the way to the end. Great finale.
This kid clearly walks up to the McCain/Palin campaign sign with the intention of putting another sign either over it or replacing it. You can't tell if it's an Obama sign, but I would assume that is what it was. The owner of the house hooked the McCain sign up to one of those electric dog fences so that anyone that tried to steal it would get a small shock. He even posted yellow signs stating that there was an electric fence, so it's not like the kid wasn't warned. Apparently the homeowner has had multiple signs stolen from his yard, which is why he decided to go this route. The owner has since removed the electricity from the signs and then the following day he caught someone on video stealing the signs....
This is ridiculous, and no I'm not talking about the guy that hooked his sign to the electric fence, I'm talking about the people that are going around stealing these signs or replacing them. Everyone has a right to vote for whoever they choose to, respect their opinions and don't be a prick.
Don't want to partake in any Halloween festivities tonight and instead maybe check out a movie or 2? Well here's what we have coming out tonight.
The Haunting of Molly Hartley: I don't really know much about this one, but it seems like it could be good for a few small scares.
Zack and Miri Make a Porno: This would be my choice for the weekend. Seth Rogan and Elizibeth Banks in a Kevin Smith flick? Sounds perfect to me. The movie is about two friends who live together but come into some money problems and decide to make a porn to pull in some extra cash. I predict this will do better than any of Smith's previous movies, but we'll see.
Splinter [limited]: This movie looks fucking bad ass. A guy and a girl are kidnapped by another guy and girl and forced to drive them somewhere, or something like that. But when they stop for gas they find that some sort of creature or alien thing is coming to kill them so they lock themselves in the gas station convineince store and try to survive.
The Other End of the Line [limited]: uhhhh, I don't know about this one.... An employee at an India-based call-center (Foster) travels to San Francisco to be with a guy (Metcalfe) she has fallen for over the phone. Sounds dumb.
Changeling: Angelina Jolie acts and Clint Eastwood directs. A mother loses her son and when the cops claim to have found him, it turns out they are liars and it's not really her kid. I saw an old movie called The Changeling a long time ago, I didn't really care for it, and I have no clue if this is a remake or not, but I have a feeling people are not going to see this one in theaters this weekend. I mean, I'm sure it will do well, but not #1.
RocknRolla: A Guy Ritchie film, so that means you can expect lots of gun violence and hard to understand accents, but it will probably be pretty good. I've enjoyed Ritchie's other films so I can't imagine I wouldn't enjoy this one .
My Name is Bruce: HOLY SHIT! This thing is finally coming out! If you've never seen Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Bubba Ho-Tep or anything else that Bruce Campbell has been in then you won't appreciate this movie. The movie is about Bruce who is shooting a movie in some random town when an evil spirit decends upon the inhabitants. One of the people there mistakes Bruce for the characters he's played in the Evil Dead movies and tries to get him to kill the creatures. If this one is playing near you and you're a fan of Bruce Campbell, go check it out!
Rumors of McDonalds dropping the double cheeseburger from the dollar menu seem to be picking up steam these days. I first heard about this "McDouble" the other night at our softball game and couldn't believe it was actually true (as in McDonalds is considering it). Apparently cheese is costing McDonalds too much money and they are actually thining about removing the double cheeseburger from the dollar menu because of it. The double cheeseburger consists of two "beef" pattys, 2 pieces of cheese, a couple pickles, ketchup, mustard and a bun, not a whole lot to it really. So McDonalds apparently wants to raise the price of this double cheeseburger by ~.20 cents or so to make up for the cost of the extra piece of cheese... yeah, 1 piec of cheese is the problem here. Apparently if they remove the double cheeseburger from the dollar menu they are going to introduce the "McDouble" which is basically just a double cheeseburger with 1 piece of cheese instead of 2, and that will keep the price at .99 cents.
