South Park – Pandemic
Cartman enlists the help of rival Craig when the boys spot an easy opportunity for financial gain from a global crisis.
Don’t forget you can get all the episodes from this season on ![]()
This post seems to be getting a good amount of attention so I figured I’d just write my thoughts on last nights episode here instead of in a new post.
Personally I don’t think this part of the latest season is living up to the South Park name. Don’t get me wrong I still love the show, but these latest episodes just don’t seem to have the same creative-ness to them that previous ones have. I did enjoy the rip on Cloverfield and the fact that the Peruvian Flute Bands were there to protect South Park from the Furry ones (which turned out to be giant guinea pigs), but there just wasn’t anything to the episode. I kept finding myself asking “where is this going?” and it didn’t really end up going anywhere and then just sort of ended. Maybe it’s just me, but I hope Matt and Trey pick it up a bit for the remainder of the season. South Park is one of the only shows I make sure I watch the day it airs (along with It’s Always Sunny), so I’d hate for my Wednesdays to be tarnished by sub-par episodes.
What did you guys think?

i agree though, during this episode i had the feeling that they where or stoned or they asked a bunch of 8 year olds what they would want to see..The cloverfield thing was nice, but ussually theyre very fast to make fun of some new movie.. cloverfield has been out for a while now.. mweeh i just hope the second part makes up for the bit we just saw
It was AMAZIN! Can you not see the connections to ‘terrorism’ which for me it is an obvious parody of. How the heads knew it would happen, but wanted to unleash this monster. Which is the patriot act and so on. Trey and Matt never fail to impress me and have me in stitches! They remind me of what Hicks’ social bite was like…
Peggy’s spot on there with the Hicks reference. Seems these days most don’t actually care about impactive social commentary but like to use it for laughs. Not since the days of Hicks (With the exception of a few) have statements been made with such wit, guile and fearlessness.
i think this episode was more creative than the previous 2. i also found the whole cloverfield rip very funny. and peruvian flute bands… you cant go wrong with peruvian flute bands.
are they making a second/ending for this episodes? that would be neat.
