New Chi-City Mayne video, Mr. Chi-City heads down to the United Center to watch the Bulls play the Celtics in the most exciting NBA playoff series of all time. Bulls will come out on top in the end, I have a feeling Rondo is gonna get punched in the head tonight... just a feeling.
Here's the story. I pull into my apartment complex Friday after work and notice someone is parked in my spot (assigned parking spaces). I stopped and gave a little tap on the horn, but the guy obviously didn't know what I wanted so he didn't do anything. Now there's an empty space next to mine (nobody lives in that unit currently assigned to that spot) so I pulled in next to the guy, rolled down my window and tried to get his attention by yelling and another honk of the horn, but this guy was oblivious to me... until he opened his door right into the side of my car... he knew I was there now.
He rolled down the window and just kind of gave me a look, didn't apologize, just kinda looked at me until I proceeded to get annoyed. I had every intention of politely asking the guy to move from the spot so I could park my car and go inside, but now that he decided he wanted to slam his door in my car and not even apologize I wasn't going to be nice anymore. Now for those who know me, you know that I am not a very big guy and normally I don't like confrontation, but I can also read people pretty well and know when I'm not really in danger of getting my ass kicked, although I'm sure I'll misjudge someone at some point.
So I got out of my car and repeated asked the guy if he was kidding... Basically my way of saying "what the fuck". I then told him that first of all he was in my spot, which he then asked me why I didn't just ask him to move... ugh, then I asked him if he always went around and slammed his car door into other people's property. As he's moving his car to another spot all he can say is "It was an accident, don't you know what an accident is?" I said sure, I've been in a couple lately (none of which were my fault) and usually the person who causes the accident covers the damage. Now there really wasn't any damage to my car, just a tiny nick on the door bumper guard thing, which actually might have already been there. So it wasn't really a money issue, but more of some idiot not wanting to take responsibility for doing damage to my property without so much as a sincere apology. He then sarcastically told me I could call his insurance company if I really wanted to.
Obviously I wasn't going to do this as it wasn't worth my time, but then I asked him how he would feel if I went up and kicked his car, to which he replied, "Go ahead, I don't care, it's just a car, it's a piece of junk". Now his car was kind of a piece of junk, granted it was an Infiniti, it's an older QX4 and it looked like more than one person had opened their door into his car. But either way I wasn't going to come down to his level and kick his car. My car, however, is not a piece of junk and I take pride in the fact that it's very clean, so I was a little annoyed at this comment.
After about 5 minutes of arguing with the guy, which was going nowhere, I decided to just let it go, but not before taking a picture of his car. I know there was absolutely no reason to take the picture, but he knows where I live, he was picking up his daughter or something, so obviously he had to drop her off again, so I guess it was just piece of mind in case I came out the next day and my windows were smashed or something.
So now my question is, what's the proper etiquette when it comes to a door ding? I know everyone, including myself at one time or another, have accidentally opened their door into the car next to us, but not a lot of us have done in while the person is sitting in the car next to them. I know if I opened my door into a car and there was someone in it, the first thing I would do is apologize. Obviously I didn't mean to do it and it was obviously my fault, so it's only the right thing to do. 9 times out of 10 there's not going to be much damage from a door ding, a lot of times it's just a scuff and you can usually get them buffed out, so do you offer to pay? Or if it was your car that got hit and the person sincerely apologized, would you ask for money? Had the guy in my situation been nice about it and apologized, I probably would have just dropped it, but what would you have done in either situation?

Pro skaters Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Eric Koston come to the factory for a skate contest. Later, Rob and Ryan drag race.
Does anyone know why MTV decided to run the new episodes of these shows (Fantasy Factory and Nitro Circus) at 11:30 am and 12 noon on Sunday before the new ones show at their normal time on Sunday nights? Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that they are doing it because then I can do absolutely nothing on Sunday nights, but it just seems weird that they would try to pull viewers away from primetime to have them watch at noon instead? I'm sure they have their reasons and I'm sure it doesn't matter to them when people watch the show, I just found it a little odd.
About a month ago I read an article about Pepsi releasing an "All Natural" version of Pepsi Cola to the US market called Pepsi Natural. Apparently this sort of drink has been out in Europe for a while now, I believe it's called Pepsi Raw, but it was never released in the US, until now. It seems as though more and more people are shying away from food that contains High Fructose Corn Syrup instead of real sugar as it's apparently not that great for you. Something about the body doesn't know how to process it so it just processes it as fat, or something along those lines. Majority of the food in the US that uses sugar, uses High Fructose Corn Syrup instead due to government subsidies and what not. So in turn America is becoming overweight (HFCS isn't the only reason for that) and our pop (or soda if you wanna call it that) has slowly started tasting worse.
Coca-Cola has always released an "Original Formula" Coke around this time of year for Passover, since HFCS is not kosher for the Jewish religion and this year Pepsi decided to do the same. They announced a product called Pepsi Throwback (along with Mountain Dew Throwback) which go back to the original formula that contains real sugar instead of HFCS. Now I haven't been able to find any of the Throwback labels in any stores around me yet and seeing as how it's a limited run and Passover is already here, I would assume I'm just not looking hard enough. I was able to find the Coca-Cola Original Formula, but it only comes in 2-liter bottles. Look for the yellow cap. The Coke isn't as special though since you can usually hunt down the original formula at some of the random mexican grocery stores in the areas. And along with the Coca-Cola I was able to find Pepsi Natural so I figured I'd give it a taste.
So I head to the grocery store to pick up a bottle of this stuff only to find out that they only sell it in packs of 4 bottles. I really only wanted one bottle because if it tastes terrible I'm not going to want to drink the other 3 bottles and it would be a complete waste of money, but I had no choice. So I bought the 4 bottles and took them home hoping to unleash the deliciousness that is Pepsi Natural. Well I can official say there was not much deliciousness to be found within that first bottle. Imagine taking a bottle of Pepsi, opening it, leaving it sit for a couple days (still open mind you), then closing it and putting it back in the fridge only to come back to it 3 months later. Yeah, that's pretty much how it tasted.
I appreciate the fact that it did still have some of that distinct Pepsi taste that I enjoy, but since it uses sparkling water instead of carbonated water, it's obviously "flat", which is the first thing I noticed. I also noticed the fact that it has a very strange after taste which is less than stellar. I don't really know how else to describe the taste of Pepsi Natural other than it tastes semi-similar to an extremely flat Pepsi. I wasn't even able to finish the entire bottle, I ended up dumping it out. So if you're curious about trying this stuff you are probably going to be disappointed. I would recommend hunting down Pepsi Throwback and drinking that instead.
Eminem released the first single off of his upcoming CD, Relapse, this morning entitled, We Made You.
Its exactly what you expect from the first single from Em. Its poppy, the video is borderline stupid, its kind of catchy, but Im not really feeling it, which is ok. I never liked My Name Is, but The Slim Shady LP is one of my favorite albums, so one stupid radio single isnt going to automatically make me think the rest of the album is going to suck. One thing I really dont like about more recent Eminem stuff is the weird tone or accent in his voice. I dont really know how to explain its been in a lot of his newer stuff.
The basis of the new song is taking shots at celebrities, particularly kim kardashian, john mayer, jennifer aniston, amy winehouse, lindsey Lohan, Sam ronsan(sp?), britney spears and probably a few others. The video was shot by the same guy that shot Without Me so it has that same feel to it. Very colorful and Em is running around in all sorts of costumes and stuff.
So I dont know, check out the video or listen to the radio Im sure theyll be playing it, but dont expect more than a basic poppy radio single. Crack a Bottle is a much better song than this one. Hopefully more tracks will start leaking so we can get a feel for what the album will actually be like.
What do you guys think?
