An open letter to Apple and Adobe

Dear Apple and Adobe,

Why does Flash for OSX suck so much? I mean it works fine for Windows, isn't a memory hog, and won't crash my browser. Every other aspect of my beloved OSX is superior whats so special about Flash that it cant get along? You guys are both huge mega successful companies, isn't there anyway the 2 of you could possibly throw a couple people at the problem to help out the people who made you so large and rich and successful in the first place? Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Zack Morris

Top 30 Comedy Movies From 2000-2009

I've done it with horror movies so I figured it was as good a time as any to rattle off my top 30 favorite comedy movies from the last 10 years. Before you continue on to the list just remember that this list is based on my opinion so if you don't agree, good for you. I already know a lot of people will think I'm crazy for leaving movies like Zoolander off the list, but honestly that movie was just unfunny and dumb. So with that being said let's get to numbers 30-26 with 25-1 coming after the jump. Enjoy and feel free to leave your opinions on the list or let me know if I forgot a pretty obvious one.

30. UP! (2009) (imdb)

29. Idiocracy (2006) (imdb)

28. Waiting... (2005) (imdb)

27. Team America: World Police (2004) (imdb)

26. Reno 911!: Miami (2007) (imdb)

America’s Best Dance Crew Season 5: Regionals – The South

America's Best Dance Crew is back for it's 5th season which means that we'll be here to comment and critique the competition week by week giving our predictions and thoughts on each of the performances. Last season I got a lot of shit for some of my predictions so hopefully I can stir up just as much conversation this year. So without further adieu lets get to it.

Season 5 instantly starts out a little different than season 4, for one Shane Sparks has been replaced by Omarion. If you're confused as to why Shane was replaced, it may have something to do with the fact that he was charged with 8 counts of child molestation... pretty serious stuff. As far as I know nothing has been proven and his lawyers assure us (as they always do) that the charges are baseless and the truth will come out in the end, but in the meantime MTV apparently didn't feel that it was right to put Shane on the show so they replaced him with Omarion. Before seeing tonight's episode I was open to the change in judges, even though Shane is by far my favorite judge, but after seeing tonight's show, I may actually prefer listening to Lil Mama over him. I guess we'll just have to see how he does, it was the first show so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The second thing that's a little different is the format of the start of the show. Instead of jumping right into the first week with the final 9 groups already competing, we get to see the top 5 groups from each region battle it out for 3 spots in the finals and tonight was The Dirty South. Once the 5 groups all performed the judges chose the top 2 who automatically move forward and then the remaining 3 had to battle it out for the final spot. Let's get to the performances (after the jump).

This doesn’t really warrant a post but…..

I would like to thank AC Slater for such a great blurb about me in the About Us section. I just find it rather amusing that he mentioned beating me in the 40 yard dash yet there was no mention at all of the absolute whooping I gave him numerous times at Chicago Indoor Racing. That is all

The Silent House (La Casa Muda) Trailer

Keeping the vein of Paranormal Activity comes the Latin American movie "La Casa Muda" or "The Silent House". What's unique about this one, besides it's $6,000 budget, is the fact that it is billed as being one continuous shot... for 72 minutes! Now obviously they aren't going to admit it, but I have a feeling that this was not shot as one continuous shot, but rather made to look it through the use of creative editing. It also claims to be based on a true story, but then again what movie isn't these days... So give the trailer a look and let us know what you think. I'm kind of excited for this one after watching the trailer and yes, it's because of that 72 minute continuous shot marketing... I'm not sure when it's supposed to come out, but you can read the plot synopsis below.

Laura (Florencia Colucci) and her father Wilson (Gustavo Alonso) settle down in a cottage that seems to be off the beaten track in order to update it since its owner (Abel Tripaldi) will soon put the house up for sale. They will spend the night there in order to start the repairs the following morning. Everything seems to go smoothly until Laura hears a sound that comes from outside and gets louder and louder on the upper floor of the house. Wilson goes up to see what is going on while she remains downstairs on her own, waiting for her father to come down. The plot is based on a true story that happened some time ago in a small village in Uruguay. La Casa Muda focuses on the last seventy-eight minutes, second by second, while Laura attempts to leave the house, which hides an obscure secret, unharmed.

REAL FEAR IN REAL TIME is the most remarkable underlying feature of the film, which will not go unnoticed by all those who may be willing to experience this different and disturbing filming experience.
