After 13 Years, Police are Following New Leads in Notorious BIG Murder
Apparently Los Angeles Detectives have some new leads in the murder of East Coast ganger rapper Christopher Wallace aka Notorious BIG aka Biggie Smalls. The source cannot divulge too much information as it is currently an open investigation, but apparently some new information has come to light that has both local and federal law enforcement agencies interested in the case again.
Christopher Wallace was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 19, 1997 at the age of 24. He was considered by many to be one of the greatest rappers at the time along side Tupac Shakur who was murdered in September of 1996. It was said that the feud between the two rappers, which escalated into a feud between the East Coast and West Coast rapper scene, turned bloody and ended in the death of both artists although nothing was ever proven. 2Pac's murder still remains unsolved along with Biggie's, but that doesn't mean there aren't numerous theories floating around out there. Google 2Pac 7 day theories and see what comes up. I know it's hard for some people to believe that he was really shot and killed, but some of these theories are ridiculous.
Personally growing up I was more of a 2Pac fan than a Biggie fan, but that's not to say I wasn't a fan of both of their music. I still feel that 2Pac's All Eyes On Me and Biggie's Ready to Die album are 2 of the best that hip-hop will ever see. "Juicy" is probably one of the, if not the, greatest hip-hop song ever produced and still holds it's own with todays music.
I honestly doubt that any of this information will lead to an arrest, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. And if you haven't seen the movie NOTORIOUS I suggest checking it out, if Biggie's life seems interesting to you. I was surprised by the movie so maybe you'll enjoy it.
