It’s Always Sunny: Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games (10/27/11)
All new Sunny tonight and it looks like we're hanging out at the bar on a rainy day. I hope it's not as boring as it sounds, but I'm feeling good about it coming off of last week's solid episode.
Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games
Another rainy day in Philadelphia. The gang can't go out and play, so they stay indoors and play a board game of their own devising. (It doesn't mush resemble Chutes and Ladders). They also drink.
Pretty solid episode this week. The gang is stuck inside cause of the rain and they decide to play a board game they made up called "Chardee MacDennis". It's basically a drinking game with some of the most ridiculous rules ever. Mac and Charlie have never beaten Dennis and Dee, but they hope that now that Frank is on their team they'll be able to break the streak.
I'm having a hard time trying to summarize everything that happened in this episode so I'm just going to focus on my two favorite parts. The challenge where Dennis had to hold his hand in front of a dart board and not flinch was great, especially when he got the dart in the hand that we all knew was coming. And then the part where Frank pulled the "Go directly to jail" card and had to spend the rest of the game locked in a dog crate unless he ate a cake. Now of course that doesn't sound bad, I mean who doesn't love cake, but the fact that it wasn't a cake, but rather the ingredients that go into making the cake made it that much more ridiculous.
This is two solid weeks in a row for "Sunny" so I'm happy to see the guys are back on their game. Hopefully the rest of the season follows this path.
And as for the FX/DirecTV negotiations that everyone is discussing, I'm not 100% sure on the details but here's what I've figured out. The videos from the cast of shows like "Sunny" and "The League" are leading people to believe that negotiations are breaking down and if a deal isn't reached between FX and DirecTV, then FX will be removed from DirecTV on November 1st. Now according to some other sources this is not entirely true. It is true that FX and DirecTV haven't reached a new agreement, but what isn't true is the Nov 1st date. November 1st is apparently when an agreement has to be reached by, this isn't the date that the network will fall of of DirecTV. Apparently if a deal isn't reached, FX will stick around until the end of the year, December 31st. So that's what I know about that, if anyone else has any other information please let us know.
