South Park – Insecurity (10/10/12)
South Park is all new tonight and it looks like the town is turning into a rough neighborhood as Cartman decides it's time to get an alarm system. We've had two pretty solid episodes to start the 2nd half of season 16, hopefully the streak continues.
The man who visits all the homes in South Park every day is now under suspicion. The luxury of having packages delivered to your doorstep is suddenly a threat to every family in the neighbourhood. Cartman takes matters into his own hands and signs up for a home security system.

Not quite as good as the previous two episodes, but "Insecurity" was still very entertaining. When Ike walks in on his parents having sex, with his dad role-playing as a UPS driver, he breaks down in tears thinking that his mom his cheating. He draws a crude picture to show to Kyle, who immediately takes it to his friends for advice. Of course Randy overhears the kids talking and then brings the news to all of his friends as they decide whether or not to tell Gerald that his wife is cheating on him with the UPS guy. Instead of telling Gerald they decide to take it upon themselves to rough up the UPS guy after receiving some questionable advice from an old man at the bar. Dressed in Bane masks, they force the UPS driver into a storage facility parking lot and beat the crap out of him.
Meanwhile, Cartman is all worried that someone is going to break into his house and rape his mother so he convinces her to buy a home security system. But when he accidentally sets it off and can't remember the passcode, he realizes that the security company actually doesn't really care, and someone could have raped his mother twice in the time he was sitting on the phone with them trying to disable the system. It's a bit of a side story that ends up coming into the main story about the UPS guy, when the security company announces a new product called "Insecurity" which is a security system for yourself, that goes off when you become scared or worried. In the end, the UPS guy seeks help in Cartman's house after being beaten half to death, but Cartman mistakes him for someone that wants to rape his mom and sets off his Insecurity system. The UPS guy is now trapped upstairs as Randy and the guys are barreling down on him. At that point he has no other options, so he jumps out the window and plummets to his death, at which point Gerald informs the guys that the UPS uniform in the closet is his, and that his wife and him were just role-playing.
I thought the episode was ok. It played on it's theme of male insecurity very well and the two storylines came together perfectly in the end. The best part of the episode was definitely the Bane masks though. Can't wait for next week. What did you guys think?
